Rashtrapati Nilayam is one of the 3 Presidential retreats in India and the only one present in Southern India. It was constructed in 1860 with a total land area of 90 acres and After the Hyderabad state's integration into Indian Union, it became the President's retreat and used as the Southern Sojourn. The President of India currently visits Nilayam every year in December.
The President of India is delighted to welcome members of the public to tour the Rashtrapati Nilayam. Public tours can be booked online and offline, with slots typically available from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM on all days of the week except for Monday and public holidays.
The Rashtrapati Nilayam will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation with guidance based on recommendations from the government, and other public health officials and medical experts, and reserves the right to adjust availability of the public tours as necessary to adhere to the latest health guidance.
The Rashtrapati Nilayam is at a distance of 8.8 km from Secunderabad and 4.9 km from Bolarum in Telangana, Hyderabad
